About Us

Our Mission

Our Mission is to be and to make disciples of Jesus Christ who reflect God’s transforming love through faith and action.

Our Story

The congregation began in 1905 and we have grown in spirit and service through the years. We emphasize mission and outreach, discipleship growth and fellowship.

Each Tuesday and Thursday community members can receive assistance with food and utilities through the Locust Grove Ministerial Alliance (LGMA). Each week over 100 backpacks are filled for our younger community members who might not have enough food for the weekend, through the LGMA.

In July, school supplies are assembled into new backpacks for Locust Grove Public School children.

In November, members purchase new winter coats for children and distribute them to three schools. They are distributed to the Locust Grove ELC, Locust Grove Upper Elementary and the Locust Grove Middle School.

During the year outings are planned to local attractions through OFF (Over Fifty-Five and having Fun).
