Ministerial Alliance

The Ministerial Alliance of Locust Grove, OK is housed out of the Locust Grove First United Methodist Church. The Ministerial Alliance sponsors a food pantry located at 117 E Main Street in Locust Grove, OK. The Food Pantry offers emergency food assistance to community members. The Ministerial Alliance also offers utility assistance and prescription assistance by appointment only.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Wednesdays 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Food Pantry Assistance Policy

-Recipient(s) must reside in the zip codes of Locust Grove, Peggs, Rose or Salina

-Recipient(s) must provide a valid Photo ID and complete an application for services at least one time a calendar year.  We will obtain a copy of your photo ID at every visit.  If your ID does not show your current address, you will need to provide a piece of mail that shows your name, address and a postmark within the last month

-Recipient(s) may receive full food box one time per month.  If recipient(s) visits the pantry more than once in the same month, recipient(s) will receive a partial box of food from the pantry.

-Some assistance with household items, such as diapers and personal hygiene items, are distributed through the pantry as they are available.

Utility Assistance Policy

-Recipient(s) must reside in the zip codes of Locust Grove, Peggs and Rose.

-Recipient(s) must provide a valid Photo ID and complete an application for services.

-We provide assistance for Electric, Water, Natural Gas and Propane.

-Recipient(s) must have a cut off notice (with the exception of Propane). 

-In the case of propane – the recipient(s) must have an account set up with the propane company.  Propane must be your primary source of heat.

-We cannot assist with deposits or setting up new accounts.

-Recipient(s) may not receive assistance at more than one residence per year.

-Limited financial assistance when funding is available.

Prescription Assistance

-Recipient(s) can receive assistance with medicine up to $50 once a year.  The prescription has to be filled at Black Drug.
